Import to Australia

If you wish to import goods into Australia, you are not required to have a license to bring goods into the country. Whether you represent a company or you are an individual.

But, depending on the nature of the goods and regardless of their value, importers may need to obtain permits to clear certain imported goods from customs control. Importers are required to ensure that imported goods are labelled correctly. For example, imported goods that require a trade description must be marked with the name of the country where the goods were made or produced and, where indicated, the accurate description of the goods.

More information about importing to Australia can be found on the Australian Border Force website.
